Hi,Another series a lot of people dont seem to remember was "Clarence" with Ronnie Barker , He was blind and the house keeper was in love with him. I think they only did one series. x Belinda Hi Belinda, I do remember Clarence, that used to have me in stitches...pity we don't have more programs like that, laughter is what this country is lacking in these days, amongst other things ;D

Hi Lisa, another great one...I loved sorry as well. I've not seen a program or person that has brought me to tears on tv for so long, such a shame because laughter is a good tonic. Ok before you guys say anything, we're not talking G&T

Hi Belinda, I remember Clarence with those glasses and he was always falling over things. I loved SORRY with Ronnie Corbett - I do wish they'd do repeats of that one. Victoria Wood and Jasper Carrott never fail to make me laugh. I've been to several of Victoria's shows and I learnt never to wear eye make-up before one of her shows. I think its wonderful to have such a talent to make people laugh like that. It really is a cure-all. Hi Lisa,How could i forget "sorry" it was one of my favourites.language Timothy!,his mothers constant reprimand.I agree, they should repeat the series.Ive never seen Victoria Wood live, but ive watch everything shes done for television,a lot of it with Julie Walters.I also like Jasper carrott, although i was surprised to see him in the game show hes got at the moment on ITV,Golden Balls.I usually catch the end of it when i put tv on for the news.Have you seen it,what do you think? x Belinda

Hi Belinda, Havent seen Jasper Carrot in Golden Balls as I dont watch daytime tv apart from the occasional Deal or No Deal and the lunchtime news, if I'm home. I didnt like the sound of Jasper's new program as I only like him when he'd doing stand-up comedy. Have you ever been to any of Lee Hurst's shows? He's also brilliant at stand-up comedy. Lee Hurst was in They Think It's All Over very early on but then for some reason seemed to have had enough and left the show which was a bit disappointing as he was really funny.

Hi Karl, Lee Hurst left They Think Its All Over because he injured his back when his chair fell backwards after one of their quick fire sessions at the end of the program. He already had a dodgy back, but the fall made it worse. Hence why he left. Hi Belinda, See my posting to Karl re:Lee Hurst. I havent seen in on the tv lately and dont know if he still does the comedy circuit but he's well-worth seeing if you get the opportunity. ;Dquote author=belinda2 board=general thread=1169639832 post=1185228040]Hi Lisa,No i havent seen Lee Hurst. Is he doing anything on TV at the moment. x Belinda[/quote]

That was a pity as Jonathan Ross did a decent job but Lee Hurst actually seemed to know something about sport which made the jokes funnier.

Hi Karl, I think TTIAO was one of the funniest programs on tv when the original cast were on it. Did you see the one where Lee fell off his chair? He was getting so carried away with the quick-fire questions at the end, he actually fell backwards, which made people laugh even louder, not realising that he had in fact hurt his back. Hence, why he left the program. If you ever get chance to see his show live, dont miss it. He's so quick that you miss half the jokes, hence why its good to see the replays or recordings of his shows.
