Does anyone recall a firm called Frankenstein Bros,of Gore Street,Manchester. That's where the old blood bank used to be.They advertised regularly in the MEN and the Chronicle for assembly workers. This is NOT a wind-up! I think they were gone by about 1970.

Dont remember them, I'm glad to say. It would be interesting to read if anyone did actually donate any blood with such a name and such a street name.

While I don't remember Frankenstein Bros. I do remember being told by my doctor to go to a dentist who was situated just down the road from me. I went in to make an appointment, came out again, and looked at the board outside the door, and it listed the dentist's one of whom was - yes you guessed it - Dr. Frankenstein. As you can imagine I never darkened his door again. This is a true story.
