I heard on the news earlier that the police had swooped on the homes of two post office workers. Now I have just read that a 39 year old man has been arrested. I don't know if there is any connection.

I DID NOT THINK A CITY FAN WOULD WISH THAT ON ANYONE AFTER ALL HE IS TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING (joke) I said it a a football fan who has children and expects a man in his position to inspire children, and also show respect for the people who pay his wages. I would love to see what would happen if any one did exactly the same as Rooney in there job? I think they would be happy if they only had a ban from there job for two days. There was no excuse and we all should not tolerate that sort of behavior from any one and especially people in the public eye. Me thinks there would be millions more out of work!!!!! These people in sports who are paid millions think they are beyond the law and can do what they want......

Ok he swore so what, he scored three goals thats all that counts.

......and so the ban should stand. If the three goals are all that matters, then we really are on a downward spiral in this country. What has it come to when goals are more important than morals and accountability. Thugs seems to rule the pitch these days and the idiots that condone bad behaviour should be ashamed of themselves...... Ok he swore so what, he scored three goals thats all that counts. Seems like the three goals don't count for nowt with the F.A. and the ban stands.

Well why don't we get rid of all the footballers, they all swear, they're all up to no good with other women, my god its like a lynch mob....he's been an idiot we can all see that for ourselves, and now he's paying for it, and like it has been said, its always him who they make an example of.

Hi Jedders, We all behave a little strangely when all is not well in our private lives and I think Rooney more than most has a lot on his mind lately Its not an excuse...heaven forbid that I would make an excuse for an idiot.....its possibly a reason for his outburst. Still, I think the ban and fine is what he deserved. I suspect by the end of the season he will be after a transfer abroad. People are getting a little fed up with his antics. After his out burst in the world cup, elbowing a player this season, his nights with one of the ladies of the night and way he went about getting his new contract. Well here's hoping that is.

I once seen him in Manchester at a st. Patrick's parade in his range rover, windscreen had parking tickets on the windscreen, this did not bother him in the slightest and just parked his car on double yellow lines again, so he never really get punished. A day/ a week or even a months pay mean nothing to him, the ban might. JEDDERS MOST CELEBS HAVE PARKING TICKETS ON WINDOWS AND MOST OF THEM DO NOT PAY.........SO NOT JUST ROONEY

NOW I KNOW PLAYERS ARE THERE TO GET ON WITH THE GAME BUT HOW PATHETIC THIS IS....WHATEVER NEXT.
Brazil starlet and Chelsea target Neymar was sent off on Wednesday night after donning a mask of his own face to celebrate a goal.
The 19-year-old scored a brilliant solo effort for his club Santos in a Copa Libertadores match against Colo Colo that finished 3-2.
He then put on the mask, which was handed to him from the crowd, with the face upside-down.
The referee took a dim view and showed Neymar his second yellow card of the game.
Neymar, who scored twice for Brazil against Scotland last month, protested furiously, showing the Uruguayan referee Roberto Silvera the mask to no avail.
The dismissal sparked chaotic scenes that led to four more red cards.
Two minutes later a foul by Santos forward Ze Eduardo led to him and Colo Colo's Uruguayan captain Andres Scotti being sent off for squaring up to each other and sparking a brief free-for-all.
Following Santos midfielder Elano's dismissal from the bench, Colo Colo midfielder Cristobal Jorquera was shown the red card in added time.

Things are changing in all walks of life, most not for the best, but its something we are having to live with whether its right or wrong..lets face it nothing is going to change for the better now, especially with the next generation coming up, and the government don't seem to do anything about it....I don't condone what happened with Rooney using bad language....but for god sake have they got nothing better to do than nit pick when so many other things that are far more serious going on in the world, than someone putting a mask on.
