lost family

Hi can anyone help me trace a part of my family, it is the Blackburns,Martha alice Blackburn was my mothers sister, maiden name Twist, originally from the Wigan area, they lived on Light street west gorton a couple of doors from her mother, Margaret whose husband was Jack Twist, an ex policeman, Martha Alice had two sons Harry and Jack and also a daughter, can anyone steer me in the right direction, lost contact in the Forties,

Hi Jedders, thanks for your efforts in trying to assist me, as you assumed I do have the information about my Mother and Father, Ethel and Gilbert and we visit their grave in Gorton cemetery two or three times a year, it is the info which you say you lost which is what I`m looking for, we have contacted GMP and as a result we have received Johns complete service record, we have also placed letters in the MEN with negative results, we do not know if any of the Blackurn family are still alive which limits our possibilities somewhat, thanks again for trying and if you do come across your lost piece of paper could you let me me know, many thanks, Tommo

Hello Fred, There is a blackburn family that live in Rochdale. There is a man in his eighties lives somewhere near smallbridge and he has a Grandson called Steve Blackburn. I hope this helps.
