Good morning Bushman, What a coincidence having someone from Gorton looking at your house. I bet many a tale was shared between you then but did they buy the house? or were you too busy exchanging stories? Dont give up on your posting for Bishop Greer - very often it can be weeks or months before someone logs in and sees your posting. Did you try the M.E.N. In Touch column? It takes ages for the ad to go in the paper but, once its in, its amazing who reads that column. I've put two ads in there looking for old schoolfriends and I found them all. Someone even got in touch with me from Australia who saw the ad....how's that for coincidence?

Hi Bushman,There is also a gorton Knowhere board, that you can find a lot of gorton people, its free to join, I have found a few people on there. Good luck!!! I am over in New Zealand and went into a shop, here, the the people that owned it had worked at belle vue and were from Gorton. The man had actually worked with my brother on the ice cream this was years ago when my brother was at university and he was working at Belle Vue for extra money. its a small world!!!
Even smaller now with all this technology

Hi there, it is funny what you say about coincidences like that. I was trying, and still am trying to get in touch with an old school friend from Manchester. I lived there until 1969 and moved to Co Tipperary a year after my marriage. I am sure you were delighted to be put in touch with your old school friend. Life is funny isn't it, we seem to come full circle at times, through meetings with the most unlikely people. Hope things went well with the sale of the house. Take care.
