BELLE VUE V COVENTRY TONIGHT ......LIVE ON SKY SPORTS 1.......WILL AV A LOOK AT THAT.....(SNIFF )....CAN SMELL THE EXAUST NOW ! WHEN WE USED TO WALK ROUND BELLE VUE FAIRGROUND AT NIGHT....AND YOU HEARED THE SPEEDWAY....YOU KNEW IT WAS AROUND 9 O`CLOCK.....AND IF YOU WASNT WALKIN ROUND WITH A YOUNG LADY.....TOUGH....MAYBE NEXT SATURDAY.........  |

used to go every sat with my mum and dad Olly and you could always smell the bikes when they went round the track...........and they use to throw some dirt up as they past you as well...................you could always here the speedway as well even if you were at home you could hear the noise from Belle Vue

Hi Olly,
I used to love the speedway Ivan Major used to live in Christchurch where we are living now, my husband used to ride with him around a track in Ch.Ch. in his youth. That was before going to the U.K. he was later in the Aces. Getting back to the Belle Vue funfair used to buy lovely fish and chips walking around there Saturday night.

Sorry its Ivan Mauger, spelt it wrong!!!!! He's retired but used to have a school here for training riders.
