Hi, I wonder how many ex-pupils of the English Martyrs SM school are out there. I attended from 1957-1961. E.M. School was situated behind Bishop Billsborough/Billsborrow Primary School off Princess Road, Moss Side. Looking forward to hearing from all of you

Patricia, Have you looked on our Main Page under schools? You might find your school there or you could put a message in the Guest Book. Also have a look at www.images.manchester.gov.uk and type the name of your school in. Hi, I wonder how many ex-pupils of the English Martyrs SM school are out there. I attended from 1957-1961. E.M. I attended English Martyrs but it was in Whalley Range, it was a new school so maybe they moved. I think Mother Assumption was head mistress, those nuns were very strict, I didn't like it.
I have a freind here in America who went to Bishop Billsborough, his name is Liam Johnson, lives in Florida. I'm in Boston. HE was there around the same time as you.

Hi, Well the English Martyrs I am interested in was at the rear of Bishop Billsborough/Billsborrow Primary School. You had to go around the side of BB School and enter from that road. I don't remember Mother Assumption at all. I remember we had great English and History Teachers. I have had a life long love of both English and History. I am currently trying to write my Memoir, and while that may sound high faluting', but I have many strands to my family history. I am trying to bring those strands together to weave them into the complete story that is me. Gosh I sound desperately posh don't I, but I am not, far from it. If anyone wants to contact me they can do so by contacting me by email, just click on my name and it should come up. Take care now JonesG. Regards Patricia
