Hi Lin I can remember my son and his friend going to see "The living dead" when he was younger and when he came back home he was "green". I don't think he watches them any more.

Hi Frances,I remember going to see the "Exorcist" in 1974 when i was 8 months gone with my first child. We queued up all down the road.Everyone said it was terrifying and people were passing out I cant say that it really scared me,but when i went to the loo in the break someone had been sick, and in my condition it didnt take much to make me sick.Paramedics were on standby, which i thought was a bit over the top, although i felt i needed them when i got home.I went upstairs to get ready for bed,as i got to the top stair i heard this awful noise, the same as linda blair had used,i nearly fell down them,it was my daft husband trying to scare me,which he did.I nagged him to death for the rest of the night ;D x Belinda

Hi Lin, Me neither........ HI BELINDA...I WAS 3 MONTHS GONE WITH MY SECOND WHEN I WENT TO SEE THE "EXORCIST", IT DIDN'T SCARE ME AT ALL...BUT I WAS WORRIED IF I WAS SICK IN THERE THAT PEOPLE WOULD THINK IT WAS THE FILM SCARING ME...I HAVE TO SAY, PEOPLE IN THE CINEMA WERE DROPPING LIKE FLYS RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE FILM, BEING THAT I WAS NOT SCARED I SAID TO ROG, WHAT'S WRONG WITH EVERYONE THEY WERE GETTING OUT OF THEIR SEATS AND RUNNING TO THE EXIT ONLY TO FALL OUT THE DOOR HEAD FIRST KNOCKING THEMSELVES OUT OR FAINTING AND OPENING THE DOORS BY HITTING IT WITH THEIR HEADS, EITHER WAY THEY MUST HAVE COME AROUND WITH A HEADACHE. YOU COULD ACTUALLY HEAR THE AMBULANCES ARRIVING OUTSIDE OVER THE SOUND OF THE FILM, THERE WERE BODIES ALL OVER THE FLOOR, THAT WAS MORE SCARY THAN THE FILM....I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WAS THE FILM THAT WAS SCARING THEM, IN FACT THERE WERE MORE MEN PASSING OUT THAN WOMEN...I'VE WATCHED IT AGAIN A FEW TIMES AND STILL CAN'T SEE WHAT SCARED PEOPLE HALF TO DEATH.

Hi Lin,I agree with you,I cant understand how frightened every one was.I went to see it at the cinema again when it was re-released a few years ago and im sure they cut bits out.I told my son(the one i had been expecting during the original)to go and watch it,he enjoyed the film but couldnt understand the fuss made about it.The only thing i didnt like was Linda Blair's voice .Did you know that they used a pig's screaming grunts on its way to slaughter for her devils screaching .I dont suppose you really wanted to either x Belinda

HI BELINDA... THERE ARE 3 OR 4 DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE FILM, I DID SEE THE ORIGINAL ON SKY TV, ALSO SEEN ANOTHER VERSION WITH SCENES MISSING FROM IT, THE BIT WHEN SHE WAS STABBING HERSELF WITH THE CUCIFIX WAS MISSING IN THAT VERSION...DO YOU REMEMBER THAT BIT? THAT WAS DISGUSTING BUT NOT SCARY...YES I KNEW ABOUT THE PIGS..IS IT EXORCIST TWO OR WAS IT CALLED SOMETHING ELSE, WHERE THEY WERE FILMING THEMSELVES DOWN IN THE WOODS? I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE MOST STUPID FILM I'VE EVER SEEN

I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE MOST STUPID FILM I'VE EVER SEEN Hi Lin,I think the film youre thinking of in the woods is the (Blair witch project)It was very slow to get going,in fact i nearly switched it off a few times in the first 20 minutes,i got into it after that, but i wouldnt rave about it.Yes that crucifix scene was bad,i thought they would have got a double to do the filming of that but i read that Linda Blair had actually done it,I wouldnt have let my young daughter do that, would you? x Belinda

HI BELINDA...THAT'S IT THE BLAIR WHICH PROJECT, BUT IT WAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE EXORCIST WASN'T IT? I'M SURE THAT IS WHAT I READ...WHATEVER, IT WAS A LOAD OF RUBBISH. IF I HAD A DAUGHTER I WOULDN'T HAVE LET HER DO THE SCENE WITH THE CRUCIFIX EITHER.

Hi Johnny, For me? A Night to Remember (Thank goodness without Leonardo di Caprio) Reach for the Sky, The Great Escape, An Inspector Calls, Was Charlie Chaplins Limelight an Ealing film?. At Christmas time there is only one, Scrooge a Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim. Yes Lisa Ealing made some brilliant films, there was the Lavender Hill Mob, another one I remember seeing when I was about 13 was a film called Make Mine A Million with Sid James and Arthur Askey, they invented a washing powder that was very powerful which they called Bonko, like a teaspn would produce a roomfull of sudds. I have never seen any refrence to that film since and I thought it was a really funny film. Tony T fresh off his bikers weekend at Skegness. Scrooge is the best version of A Christmas Carol because of Alistair Sim's superb performance. The other must-see great Christmas film in my opinion is It's A Wonderful Life.

let me give you another one !!! spring and port wine "you'll not leave this table till youve eaten that 'addock " I appeared in a play of Spring and Port Wine and believe me the script for the play is far superior. The script for the film was altered far too much. In the play I played the character Harold Crompton played by Rodney Bewes in the film. The age range between the brothers is meant to be a lot closer and my character is a lot more comedic in the play than the film. The long speech by the father is cut mostly from the film. In the play he explains why he is so controlling and explains his attitude toward money.

Hi Frank, Goodbye Mr. Chips was a wonderful film with the lovely Robert Donat. What was it about the old films? They were so 'gentle' (for want of a better word). I hate the American films : cant understand what they are saying, too much unnecessarry violence (but isnt that America?) too much sex(a necessity for bad films !!). There's something magical in watching an old black and white film with REAL actors....... Hi Lisa could'nt a gree more, we really dont need the language or the sex scenes , i'm no prude, but just let us use our imagination.Bodzy obviously does .Idont know about over there but here when they are reading the news they have to show you a picture, say a story on health issues they display a,stethascope it drives me mad, but i digress, my favourite film of all time is goodbye Mr Chips.regards, Frank Walsh. P.S. only joking, Bodzy. Mr Chips is another one of my favourites. I've got it on DVD. Donat got the Oscar for Best Actor for that film. I prefer Old Hollywood films especially any Alfred Hitchc*ck film or one with James Cagney in it. My favourite film is White Heat starring Cagney with the line at the end "I've made it Ma,top of the world"
