8-)I'm writing a book on United and City and would love to hear from members who supported either club from the mid 1950s to mid 1970s. Just memories of any game or player to help me portray what Manchester football was all about - particularly the rivalry between the Reds and the Blues. Up to now I've relied on my own memory and scrapbooks. I first went to Old Trafford in 1956 and saw United draw with Cardiff City. I can't offer payment but I promise to credit anyone who helps. (I write for fun nowadays and as an excuse to get out of the gardening). Thanks, Colin.

Some years ago the Manchester Evening News used to print a photo of the crowd and circle three people at random and give them free tickets for a home game, well in them days me and my mate used to go to Maine road one week and Old Trafford the next week(he was a blue and i was a red)and we went to see City play United and they circled ME in the crowd !!!! well i rushed down to Withy Grove to collect my prize and they gave me tickets to see the next game at Maine Road !! i remember it clearly because City got beat by Southampton who had Terry Payne on the wing.I would love to see that picture again.

Hi Tony, Manchester Evening News has archives somewhere in Deansgate where you can get photos. As long as you can roughly remember the date they will be able to find it for you. You can contact the M.E.N. online. Let us know how you get on please. It would be great to see that photo too.
