Hi folks i found this on the net , does any one remember when it was? Suspected land mine found in flat Army bomb disposal teams are carrying out tests on a suspected land mine that was found in a north Manchester flat. Police were called to an empty flat on Burgin Walk in Collyhurst on Wednesday after a round green object was found in the kitchen.
A specialist army bomb squad was called to the scene who said it was not live.
Detectives set up a security cordon around the property and Burgin Walk was closed at its junctions with Queens Road, Rochdale Road and Livesey Street.
The cordon has since been lifted, the roads have reopened and residents who were told to leave the scene have now been allowed to go back into their homes. I would love to learn more about this if any one knows any thing about it back then? Migky

Hi Migky, I haven't heard of the landmine, but something doesn't ring true with that story, Rochdale Rd, runs north south, Queenns Rd, and Livesey St, run paralell to each outher, east west, nearly a mile apart, can not imagine where they would join. Regards, Frank Walsh.
