Lionel Fisher was born in Crumpsall Hospital in 1943. He resided at 17 Dargai St., Clayton. He was the fourth son of Fred Fisher and Alice Hope Fisher-nee Keefe. His brothers were James, Fred and Joseph. He worked briefly as a signalman for the L.N.E.R. railroad. He left England to go and live in South Africa, but I do not know which year he did that. I am his only remaining brother, Joseph. Any news of Lionel would be extremely good news.

Hi Joe, Have you tried the Manchester Evening News In Touch column? Postbag@MEN-News.co.uk. You can post an ad online or write to In Touch, M.E.N. 164 Deansgate, Manchester M3 3RN. I've used it several times and its amazing what it produces. If your brother did move to S.A. there's a chance that someone, somewhere will read the MEN and give you some info. Most ex-Mancunians keep in touch via the newspaper and its worth a try. Have you also posted a message in our guest book? Let me know if you have any luck.
