A GUY HUNG HIMSELF RIGHT ON THE SPOT WHERE OUR HOUSE WAS BUILT...THE LIST IS ENDLESS, COULD WRITE A BOOK ON IT....HAD A HUGE PICTURE FLY OFF THE BEDROOM WALL HERE AND IT SHOT ACROSS THE ROOM, THE HOOK WAS STILL IN THE WALL, NOT BENT OR ANYTHING SO IF IT HAD FALLEN IT SHOULD HAVE JUST DROPPED DOWN, THE CHAIN IT WAS HANGING ON WAS STILL IN TACT..IT HAD BEEN ON THE WALL FOR YEARS....UNEXPLAINED...LOTS OF SILLY LITTLE UNEXPLAINABLE THINGS HAPPEN WHERE WE LIVE NOW.

Hi Lisa...I think I could...Rog has had some weird experiences as well....I had the weirdest one ever one day, can't remember if I have mentioned it on another thread or not...but I was in a furniture store one day looking around as you do, a young couple walked past me and sood in front of me looking at an item of furniture, I looked up and there was a huge mirror on the wall if front of them...I could see myself, the woman, but not the mans reflection in the morror...that was real freaky...as you can imagine I turned away and looked back again but there was no reflection of the guy but should have been because they were both standing with their arms linked together.

Hi Lin, You did mention it before and it gave me shivers down my spine. Sounds like your cottage is haunted too! You lucky thing. I once stayed at a boyfriend's aunt's home and saw this white shadow standing at the foot of my bed one night when I was just going off to sleep. The room was very cold. I later found out that the aunt's dead husband often visited new visitors and the cold shaft went straight through the house to the very place where he'd died. I didnt want to upset his aunt so never mentioned it to her but she knew all about his 'visits' and it comforted her. Later, when visiting the house with some friends who were both psychics, they took me straight to the place where I'd seen him and said they could feel his presence. I also saw their dead grandmother when pulling back some drapes. They knew immediately who I was talking about because of the description and the colour of her dress (bright blue, which she always wore). Strangely enough I never felt frightened when I was alone in the house.

Not to me but I bet Terry Wogan will contact you soon, after what happened to him on the night of the "Making Your Mind Up" (Eurovision song programme). That little bit of footage will surely be shown on his own "Bloopers" show eh? Poor Terry but CONGRATULATIONS to Scooch (if that's how you spell it). I still can't see us EVER winning the competition BUT at least the song and the routine should raise a few smiles.

HAD SEVERAL THINGS HAPPEN IN THE HOUSE, BUT IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME AT ALL, IF ANYTHING IT FASCINATES ME. LIN

Hi Jonny, are you sure there wasn't 2 travel lodges on A34, one at each end, I don't live far from there, I've been trying to picture how it could have happened, it couldn't unless you turned left and left and ended up back there, strange one that. nearly two years ago I cared for my next door neighbour who had cancer and was dying, myself and friend did the caring for her as she wanted to die at home, a few things happened before and after her death, she ended up in semi consciousness, one day whilst we were there in the bedroom she was lay on her back almost paralised, we had to turn her to wash and change the bed, this day she suddenly bolted upright and started talking to somebody whilst looking into her mirrowed wardrobe, then suddenly lay back down again, would have loved to know who she was talking to, then after her death just before christmas i was at my friends having a conversation about the friend who dieds son, he was the light of her life, but we knew other things that he done, we were talking about him, then suddenly something really strange happened, my friend had a triangular wooden advent calender, each day you hang a wooden piece on the advent , this hung on a small round knob by a piece of cotton, they had been hanging in the same place for days, next minute one of these wooden things flew of the wooden advent calender and landed between me and my friend, if it had not been put on properly it would have just slipped down, but this actually jumped across the room, we reckon she was shutting us up from talking about her son, well it worked. I shouldn't have got onto this thread this time of night, I'm on my own all night, husbands on nights and daughter staying out, I'm spooking myself now, I told my friend that when she passes over she must try and contact us some way, hope its not goling to be tonight. I love things like this thou, lets hear more of it, everybody must have something spooky thats happened

Hi Jean & Tommy, Whilst staying with a boyfriend at his mother's home in London, I was woken up by my b/f saying he could see a white figure at the foot of his bed in a uniform. My b/f was a real sceptic but was deathly white with the experience. A little while later a friend of mind came to stay in the spare room of that house and couldnt sleep because of the tailor's dummy in the room which wore a Red Officer's Tunic and Trousers, and the shape of it in the dark kept her awake. It then dawned on my b/f that it was that very uniform that he saw at the foot of his bed that night. He had only recently bought the uniform for his collection and we assumed that the soldeir who wore it had appeared to him in the middle of the night. He could only see the aparition from the knees up and we assumed he'd lost his legs in the battle. He was really spooked but got used to it because every time I was around something strange appeared in the middle of the night.......

I remember when i was living with my grandparents in cheetham Hill,id gone to bed and was just dozing off when i heard someone walking upstairs. They were walking so slow it got me worried and i asked"is that you granddad"No one answered,i asked again and again,by this time i was sat up almost crying with fear. Then a man walked into my room in a long black coat,a trilby, and no face that i could see.Ilet out the loudest scream you could imagine,he vanished. My grandad was at the bottom of the stairs asking me what was wrong, telling me to get back to sleep.eventually he came up get me,and when i told him what had happened he started praying over me in latin(which frightened me even more)I found out later that a soldier had hung himself in that room.x Belinda

in regards to Lisa's note of the Bermuda Triangle.when I was in the RN We set sail for Puerto Rico from Fort Lauderdale 1978,we went through the triangle.I was on watch in the middle of the night .at the wheel.there were three of us in the wheelhouse, one on the telegraph'me at the wheel and a Leading hand keeping an eye on the pair of us.we got a message from the officer of the watch on the bridge that we entering the triangle. We couldn't see anything as the wheelhouse is below decks in the middle of the ship but we all had a giggle and did the twilight zone tune. Now when your steering the ship you have to keep to the compass headings given to you from the bridge .There are two compasses, one in use and a backup, they look a bit like a tape measure up in front of you on the wall.It moves left and right as you get pushed around by the sea.Usually it moves around about five degrees or so depending on how rough it is,but this night it went crazy. It started to move quite fast and I started to follow it but then realised something was wrong,I stopped turning the wheel and brought it back to it's start position(midships)if I had kept following it we would have had no idea what direction we were. Now the alarm bells were all going off,we were reporting to the bridge that both compasses were down,we got the order to slow both engines as they had the same problem on the bridge. We bobbed around in the triangle for about an hour, but it seemed like forever and we didn't say a word to each other the whole time.Eventually everything came back on line and we sailed on,we were full of it then, cracking jokes and carrying on, but I think if the truth be known we thought our chips were up.There is an amusement ride on the Gold Coast called the Bermuda Triangle , I was waiting in the queue with my children I told them this story and a guy in front of me turned around and looked at me as much as to say "your full of it". Ah well, cross me heart an all that

Hi Belinda , yes it's a true story .I have seen tv programmes since about the triangle, explaining about huge pockets of gas that escape from the seabed,as they reach the surface they expand and cause a big hole.So if the ship happens to be there at the time, basically it disappears into it.That all seems feasible to me but it still doesn't solve what happened to us that night.I have another spooky one but I'm not sure how long that you can on before people get fed up.cheers Danny

hiya danny, belinda and all. I say you carry on with your experiences, I like to hear of these sought of things, first time Iv heared of the gas bubble in the triangle, seems quite logical, wasnt there aircraft that disapeared as well ?, my daughter has a spirit in her house, which sits on her bed at night, not every night, but when it happens, she`s up and out the bedroom, they have had this spirit for years, when the grandaughter was at home, it never used to bother her. she used to say it was an old lady relative, watching over her same with the grandson, the only thing I`ve done is been on a "yes-yes" board, which worked, even when I asked the others to leave me on my own on it, because I wasnt much of a believer I did speak to an old lady who was a guys mother I knew, but when I pushed her to spell a few names of horses that were going to win next day, I didnt get much joy ;D olly..

Hi Belinda,I've got a tale in mind that I'll tell you but it's lengthy and I haven't got the time tonight. It involves spooky /ghost stuff. After this event (which I'll tell you some other time)I was a bit edgy and talking to one of the old hands about it.I say old,he was probably about 35 but when your 17 that seems ancient. He says to me in an all knowing, salty sea dog kind of way"strange things happen at sea". Then he told me this tale.I was on lookout one night, the sea was blowing a gale and a tarpaulin had ripped off one of the guns.I ran across the flight deck and grabbed the end of one of the ropes attached to the tarp and started to lash the tarp back onto the gun. Then suddenly the wind dropped and the sea became dead flat, then as I peered into the black sea I saw a huge, green ,slimy, hand slowly rise out of the water. It had seaweed hanging off it's fingers and what looked like old fishing net.It moved from side to side about three or four times then silently slipped back into the sea and was gone. Now he embellished it a lot more than that and me like the burk I was said "and what was it"and he Say's " It was just a big green wave" then started laughing his head off.xxDanny ;D
