Jack Todd was my great uncle who died in the first world war. His name was on the plaque which hung in gorton monastery but it is not there anymore. I would love some info, maybe my mothers (Elizabeth Tynan) family would know something about him and get in touch. I dont know his age or regiment. Hope someone can help I would love to know more about the Todds etc. thanks from sue x

Well there was my grandmothers family who all lived in gorton, they were elizabeth todd(my grandma)she lived at number 14 Neill street her sisters Harriet and Margaret (number 16) and brothers John (the one you found) Edward, William and James. Their mother and father (my great-grandparents) both died within weeks of each other in 1901 I think when my grandma was 9 years old. Cant find where they were buried as I dont know their names. So all the family had to look after each other. I remember my grandma telling me that Jack came home from the navy and hugged her so tight he broke her nose!!!! Thanks for reading and hope you can find out more for me. Thanks from sue
