Everyone has heard of Grumpy Old men and Grumpy Old Women.....so I thought I'd start a Thread where we can get things off our chests........My first grievance is: Why do young people play their Ipods at such a loud volume on public transport that all you can hear is the thud, thud, thud of the so-called music. Dont they realise that they will become deaf in years to come....... Come on folks, lets have your moans on this new Thread.

I SEE YOU'RE OFF ON ONE AGAIN LISA...LOL! I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU THINK THEM UP THAT IS ALSO ONE OF MY GRIEVANCES AS WELL, OR YOU GET KIDS IN THEIR CARS WITH WINDOWS WIDE OPEN AND MUSIC THAT DEAFENS YOU IN YOUR OWN CAR WITH YOUR WINDOWS CLOSED...I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY STICK IT, I COULDN'T STICK THAT LOUD WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, IT'S A WONDER THEY DON'T BUST THEIR EARDRUMS....WE USED TO GET THAT HERE WHERE WE LIVE, PPL USED TO PUT THEIR SPEAKERS OUT ON THE GREEN, AND THEY WERE HUGE SPEAKERS WHICH IN MY MIND WAS TOO BIG TO HAVE IN THE HOUSE. ANOTHER ONE THAT REALLY ANNOYS ME IS WHEN YOU ARE EITHER GOING IN OR COMING OUT OF A SHOP AND YOU HOLD THE DOOR OPEN FOR THE PERSON BEHIND YOU, THEY WALK RIGHT THROUGH WITHOUT HOLDING ONTO THE DOOR SO YOU CAN CARRY ON IN THE SHOP, AND NEVER SAY A WORD OF THANKS..I GET ANNOYED WITH MYSELF BECAUSE IT MAKES ME AS BAD AS THEM BECAUSE NOW IF THEY START TO WALK THROUGH AND DON'T HOLD ONTO THE DOOR I LET IT GO IN THEIR FACE...I JUST CAN'T HELP IT....IS IT AN AGE THING OR WHAT? I JUST FIND THOSE SORT OF THINGS ARE TOTALLY RUDE AND IGNORANT. WELL THERE'S A START, I'M SURE I CAN THINK OF MANY MORE LIN

Hi Lin, I agree with the door thing. I just stand there politely openning the door because I worked out that if you show them up with politeness it MAY work and you may get it back - NO HOPE!!! But, there's hope on the horizon..........I tend now to SMILE at them all in the hope of getting a smile back - NO HOPE !!! Another grievance......(I bet you all wish I'd not started this one.....).......People on buses putting their feet on the seats......I cant resist saying something like "Do you do that at home?". I once got the reply "Yes, I do......" so I never asked it again. Now I suss out the situation and the person involved and if they look like the type to want a fight I keep my mouth shut - but IT KILLS ME TO KEEP QUIET..........I did tell you that one of my Bad Habits is Talking Too Much........

HI LISA...AFRAID I CAN'T KEEP MY MOTUH SHUT AS MUCH AS I TRY...I WILL DO FOR SO LONG LONG BUT THEN I HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING...I WOULD SAY TO THE PERSON WITH THEIR FEET ON THE BUS SEATS IF THEY SAID YES THEY DO PUT THEIR FEET ON FURNITURE AT HOME, AND DEPENDING ON IF THEY WERE YOUNG ENOUGH TO BE LIVING AT HOME...I EXPECTED THAT ANSWER, YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY STILL HOME WITH MUMMY, IF IT'S A GUY I WOULD BE CALLING HIM A MUMMIES BOY OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT. ANOTHER ONE IS IN THE SUPERMARKETS, WHICH I THINK I HAVE ALREADY SAID ON HERE SOMEWHERE...BUT WHEN PPL STAND RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AISLES CHATTING AWAY AS IF THEY'VE GOT ALL DAY, I SAY EXCUSE ME 3 OR 4 TIMES, AND THEY LOOK AT YOU AS IF TO SAY WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE...SO I LOOK AT THEM AND IN AN EVEN LOUDER VOICE I WILL SAY IT ONCE AGAIN, IF THEY DON'T MOVE I JUST RAM MY TROLLEY IN THEIR LEGS..NO WONDER THERE'S SO MUCH STRESS THESE DAYS...HOW DARN RUDE CAN PPL BE? I MAY BE IN THE WRONG FOR DOING THAT, BUT THEY GET THE MESSAGE, AND GOD FORBID THEY SAY ANYTHING TO ME, I WOULD NEED RESTRAINING... LIN
