Hi all...here I am again trying to drum up people to contribute to MM once again. What sort of films do you go for? Myself, I like true films, action films and horror films...afraid I'm not one of these romantic people who go for love stories as such, I get pretty bored with them....but I do love Braveheart, but again I guess that is because of there being some truth to the story....the battle involved of all those people for their freedom. Same with 'Titanic', but not the love story involved in it...it was what those poor people must have gone through, their fears etc, must have been horrific....So come on guys, surely you must have a preference? Help me out here please Lin

Lin - if you look on Page 2 of the General Board you will see a thread entitled "Great Sunday Afternoon Films" - I think that is the one Marjorie referred to (Am I right Marjorie?).

give me anything that has you hiding under the settee whilst biting on a cushion!!! I have seen SAW, SAW II and am about to see SAW III. People are drugged and kidnapped and then find themselves with a dilemma as to how to get away. I can't go into much detail here as each one is VERY GORY!! My son and I have a HORROR night every so often (only since he's been of an age to understand that these films are just that FICTIONAL FILMS). If hubby joins in he inevitably falls asleep and his snoring can be extremely offputting so we tend to wait until he's working away from home to have our FILM night.

The Saw films are pretty good but haven't seen the 3rd one yet. They're not for the frightened easily as it is realistic.

I seen those Saw films, but they still didn't scare me..the only thing I won't watch is anything that has huge spiders in it...they just make my skin crawl. Lin

I Think the best film ever has just got to be " The Godfather", if ever I have never got tired of watching the same film over and over again it would have to be that one

Ive seen all 3 saw films,i loved them all,but i think they should stop now, becoming so predictable. It was obvious from saw 3 that they will make another one.Big mistake. I love Hammer House Horrors, any of them,i love them all. Ive got all the carry on films and all Rising Damp series, which i never tire of.Although i go through stages where i wont watch anything for ages x Belinda

Belinda rising damp was great what a laugh you cant beat English comedy's i could spend all evening telling you the ones i like tommy ox Tommy I completely agree with you about British comedy but the films of the series were always a let-down especially the Rising Damp film. It always seemed a mistake to me to make that Rising Damp film especially as Richard Beckinsale died just before they started filming I think which took away from the film a little bit plus the script was really poor and was just a re-hash of plots and lines from the series.
