WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON VENGERS STATEMENT AFTER TAYLOR BROKE EDUARDO`S LEG AFTER ONLY THREE MINUETS
WHEN YOUR TOLD TO MARK A MAN...DOSNT MEAN YOUVE TO GO IN AND BREAK HIS LEG............
MYSELF I WOULD BAN THE OFFENDING PLAYER ...AND HALF HIS WAGES.......FOR THE LENGTH OF TIME IT TAKES FOR THE INJURED PLAYER TO MAKE A FULL RECOVERY.........

DEPENDS IF THERE WAS ANY MALICIOUS INTENT OLLY? THIS MORNING VENGER HAS RETRACTED HIS STATEMENT SAYING HE WAS ANGRY AT THE TIME HE SAID WHAT HE DID.
I PERSONALLY DIDN'T SEE THE INCIDENT, SO I CAN'T REALLY COMMENT ON WHETHER THERE WAS INTENT OR NOT, BUT I KNOW THEY'RE NOT SHOWING IT AGAIN BECAUSE THEY ARE SAYING IT WAS SO FEROCIOUS IT WAS LIKE SOMETHING FROM A HORROR MOVIE.

I've seen challenges with far more intent than that. I think it was genuinely mistimed. The damage was caused mainly because when the contact was made with Eduardo's leg, the leg was planted into the turf. If it had been raised slighly the injury wouldn't have been so bad.

Morning Karl, I saw a video on the accident and it did make me go 'ouch' but, as you say it didnt look intentional. Why do footballers play 'dirty' nowadays? I'm not a football fanatic but I do remember when footballers were gentlemen on the pitch......a little bit unlike civilian life now, sadly.

With that type of tackle being made, the studs are bound to be raised in the manner that they were hence if you mistime one somebody has the potential to be seriously hurt.

I AGREE WITH THIS, I'M SURE IT WAS NOTHING MORE THAN ACCIDENTAL AND MISFORTUNE.
