::)Hi i am ARTHUR FARRINGTON EX 1st BATTALION EAST LANCASHIRE REGT 1943 to 1948 then The ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS> TRANSPORT.
I am looking for .the following from the E.L.R.
GORDON BURTENSHAW FROM OLDHAM
BILLY DONALD FROM Manchester
KEN GASKELL FROM TYLDESLEY AND HIS SISTER IN LAW ELIZABETH WETHERUP LAST KNOW I ADDRESS IN TYDSLEY WILL PROBALY HAVE MARRIED AFTER I LAST SAW HER.
WILKO WILKINSON WHO SAVED MY LIFE AFTER I WAS SHOT IN SEPTEMBER 1944. served with him for the rest of the war. and i last saw him in the early fifties in TRIESTE Italy when he was Then with the LOYAL REGT> AND I WAS WITH 65 Coy R.A.S.C.
ALSO ANY MANCHESTER / LANCASHIRE WHO REMEMBER ME DURING MY SERVICE IN THE EAST LANCASHIRE REGT and THE R.A.S.C. 1943 to 1961. Previous to the EAST LANCASHIRE REGT I WAS WITH THE 1/4 SOUTHLANCASHIRE REGT.
