I think I have got the name right, it was in a row of shops on London Rd selling second hand vinyl records. It is where i bought some of my first records especially the Rock & roll ones Little Richard Fats Domino etc etc. Did the shop fold or did they move away somewhere else.

Hi There , Gerard here, I left M/c for the USA in the late 60's. Bought my first elec guitar at Mazels, it was an interesting place, like Johnnie Roadhouse store on Oxford rd? There have been previous postings about Mazels here.
I've been offline due to moving around, retired now , might be moving again up north to the Canadien border... soon.

Hi Gerard, thanks for your reply and memories but taken aback by your proposed move to Canada, surely you should be going with the Snowgeese to Florida. I had an uncle who lived in Michigan and he always went to Florida in the winter. He used to send me postcards and tell me about the delicous oranges. I got there myself in later years but never got the chance to meet him.

Surely those old shops on London Rd were all demolished when the new road systems were introduced years ago

I am now living near Canada this will my first winter up here, we are due for snow soon. Hope to get a snowmobile, there are thousands of miles of groomed snow trails here. I'm in Island Falls , Maine. We get over 100 inches of snow, should be fun.

Beautiful country northern Maine ideal for winter sports especially Hockey ( man,s game) I spent some time in Ontario which was typical Canadian winter weather.sufferred one night at a lake where the temperature reached or dropped to 40dgrees below..fortunately we had removed the batteries from the car placing them close to pot-bellied stove..they were replaced next morning and away we went
Sorry to read that you did not enjoy Florida...I guess it is where you decide to live..it not all like Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Orlando...we have lived in north west for almost fifty years nnothing like south Florida

Yeh that's cold, last winter we saw minus 17F in Boston, I'm told winter in maine is similar to Boston but longer.
Florida was nice to visit but the job I had was not good so it colored the whole experience. I liked the fishing.! I lived on sarasota, that was a nice place on siesta key.
