Just paying a visit and sorry to see the website is still in the doldrums. I see some of the post I have started and they are still not getting the response I thought they would get. feel very sorry for Alan and the effort he puts in and even sorrier for Jack hence my posting i know he is still contributing and i think of him at times like this. How goes it Jack!

Hi Benji I still check in several times a week in the hope that someone will post or start a new link...has been this way for quite a while...one day maybe someone from M/C years ago will find this site ...enjoy what they see ...post an article that would upstart Manmates once again...at least we can hope///CMIB checks in once in a while..the "ten pound pommies" used to frequent the site but have not posted or checked in....maybe they do secretly///I thought that "shoutout" feature would find some interest? ?Election day here in the US let,s hope the people make the right choice as did the Brits did with Brexit...Watch City and United each weekend..starting at 6am we can see 3 sometimes 4 P/L games...then we get the midweek games from europe Nice to see you on Manmates...take care jacka

Hi Jack glad to see your still with us. I suppose you have been to the polls and voted or do you think your vote counts. I dont think I could vote for either and where they get their followers from I don't know. Sad to see how things are on Manmates, there must be a lot of visitors but no interest being raised. I will try and get on more often but in the meantime keep shouting and i know you are there. Benji.

Noticed your Location is Denton....my late brother lived in Ashton-under-Lyne ...worked in Denton in a small machine shop...?...? When we would visit (several years ago) we would take the motorway from Stockport and take the Denton ramp turn left and drive thru til we reached the main roads in Ashton...round two big round-abouts( one had church in the centre then take the road to Yorkshire Then years later we would drive to the A U L exit....which was little confusing with all the traffic lights and turns (and being on the wrong side of the road...what we were used to)/// City are doing O L with this new manager...but United have got to get it together with this Portugese fellow....Wdy oh why have all t these premier league clubs have to have foreign managers....no better than the Brits.....same can be said about the players...which in my opinion will be all blacks in a few years ( cheap labour? ??...................................................................... What goes with Brexit? surely they the Gov cannot resolve the situation...the people have voted their position....just like the U S voted

Hi Jack, I have lived in Denton 50 years moving up here after marriage from Manchester. I lived in what i call the nice part of Hulme near Hulme Church. I was 15 min walk from Old Trafford and about the same from Maine Rd. I use to go to both grounds which was affordable then but I am dyed in the wool Red. Always will be but not happy the way the club is run now.

Hi Benji I too used to attend both Old Trafford and Maine Road..if my memory serves me correctly...I was in one of the largest crowds at
Maine Road 84,000plus.. a game against Arsenal ( Denis and Les(I think) Compton played for the Londoners that day. I was fortunate to sit
on one of the tunnel walls (the Chorlton/Rusholme end) or was it called the covered stand end. We are very happy to get the games on TV
each weekend and the mid-week games ( yesterday the Merseyside derby) Saturday we have three games starting at 6.30am ( 11.30 in UK) then
Sunday usually two. You mention the cost I notice that a lot of wives/girlfriends attend so people have money to sit to watch .....
a relative informed me years ago that they paid 450 pounds for a season ticket..my father and I used to pay 10pence to stand....memories
appologies for the eratic typo

Not where we live...our community just 166 hones located on a golf course(72holes) in a reasonably quiet beach location (away from the noise etc)..Christmas...with the family (11 sat down for dinner) no turkey this year just a Ham and a large Prime Rib roast of Beef ( very little left over)....Trust your Christmas was just as you planned, with lots of Santa,s gifts and goodies.... .flying home tomorrow
