Basement had jazz.Ground floor a bar Top floor Folk music.Lived there almost in the 60,s.

Hi MMM60. I remember the MSG (Manchester Sports Guild) in New Millgate. I used to go with my boyfriend at the time in the 1960's, and we'd meet up with friends. The bar and sports area was downstairs and upstairs was the Folk/C&W Club. Used to spend every Saturday night there and often went upstairs to the folk club. I once worked as a Receptionist the New Millgate Hotel next door, but its all been pulled down now, sadly as the buildings were a feature of the area.
