Hi Everyone,
I have put a new page on the site for Member's Recipes. You can access from, "Latest Updates, It's own link down the left-hand side of the home page and from the main index."
At the moment I only have four of Lisa's Recipes but will add more in the fullness of time.

HI JOE
THE BEST HOLIDAY I EVER HAD WAS ON THE NORFOLK BROADS ON A VERY BIG BOAT ,ABOUT 9 OF US ON IT. WE HAD ONE MISHAP ONLY TRIED TO CROSS THE CHANNEL TO THE OTHER SIDE IN A HURRICANE,WE WERE GOING ACROSS THE CHANNEL TRYING TO KEEP IN THE LANE AND THIS METAL CORRUGATED SHED CAME FLYING OVER OUR HEADS,IT WAS LIKE THE WIZARD OF OZ. THEN WE GOT OVER AND THERE WAS A POOR YOUNG COUPLE TRYING TO MOOR THEIR BOAT AND HE HAD LOST HIS GLASSES IN THE WATER,THE BOAT WAS TO BIG FOR THEM TO MOOR ON THEIR OWN SO WE HELPED THEM. WE GOT A FREE WHISKEY OFF THE LANDLADY OF THE PUB TO WARM US UP.SHE HAD NEVER SEEN IT SO BAD IN ALL THE YEARS SHE HAD BEEN LIVING THERE. WE ALSO GOT TOLD OFF BY THE POLICE LATER IN THE HOLIDAY FOR SPEEDING. IT WAS GOOD THAT YOU MOORED AT A PUB EVERY NIGHT AND THEN TOURED THE VILLAGES ALL THE DAY.

Hi Joe, I had a wonderful holiday in the 70's on the island of SARK in the Channel Isles. A friend lives there and his house was built on the edge of a cliff with a private path down to the sea. There's no cars on the island, just bicycles (and tractors). Everyone on the tiny island said 'hello' to you in the mornings and once a week there was a 'gathering' at a pub where the whole island (so it seemed) turned up, young and old for a 'knees-up'. I was sad to leave to get back to London. I also had wonderful holidays in Lindos on the island of Rhodes a few years ago. Things have changed on Rhodes now, but then Lindos was a magical place and I have lovely memories of it.

Hi Joe, Havent been to Crete but I've been to Kos, Rhodes and several small islands like Nasiros (volcanic). I too love Greece and the people and hope to go back one day. I have a Greek friend in Lindos who looks after the little church in St.Pauls's Bay and the Panagia in Lindos itself. I dont speak Greek and she doesnt speak English but we manage to communicate via hand signals and her sons translating for us. My daughter used to work during the summer holidays in the Greek islands and can speak the language.

Hi Joe, Somewhere on the General Page is a Thread for Holidays which you can post your comments on. If you cant find it let me know and I'll start a new thread for Favourite Holidays. The New Page thread is just to let everyone know that the recipes have also been put on the Home Page so people can print off copies. Hope thats clear to you.

Hi Chris, Where's Babs today? Are you having a storm in Kent? We are having a beaut here in Manchester. I was woken this morning by a loud bang and thought a bomb had gone off at the Airport but it was thunder. Its flooding down our road and the drains cant cope. I expect the Water Board will say 'its the wrong type of rain' when it comes to shortages.!!!
