Please enlighten me....
Is "Bonfire Night" the old tradition of burning the" Houses of Parliament"still celebrated? As a child I remember the fire set in the "entry" in between the houses..the mothers would make treacle toffee and other goodies.

sure its still observed i'm sat here at the PC with bangers and rockets going on around me scaring my dog ;cant wait for the d**n thing to finish , and lets get christmas here?

Thanks Climb57...Sure good to know it is alive....wish I could be there with you to enjoy...we have fireworks (bangers and rockets) the 4th of July and some crazies let the d**** things off on Dec 31st celebrating the New Year

It doesnt seem as bad as in previous years here.....now its over, we just have to wait for New Year's eve then its all over for another year. sure its still observed i'm sat here at the PC with bangers and rockets going on around me scaring my dog ;cant wait for the d**n thing to finish , and lets get christmas here?
