Hi Jack I think Van Persie as been worth every penny don't you. By the way I'm glad your a Red Every penny!!!!!!!! and yes I have been a United supporter for over these past sixty (60) years..change that seventy years (70) my earliest memory slot is United playing at Maine road after Old Trafford had been presented with a "land Mine"...they were supposed to be bigger and more damaging that an ordinary bomb.I guess the "germans" were targeting Glovers Cable which was right next to Utd ground but were just off a smidge. Some good old photos on Manchesteronline sports section Anxious to see the result of todays game Everton at O T can go up 12points after the " blues" got trounced by Southampton yesterday!!!

Great result for the Reds Jack 2-0 against a good Everton side. They showed today they really meant what they said, they have certainly learned from their mistakes last season.
City really handed it to them yesterday.
I don't go back as far as you Jack but I did see some memorable games at Maine Rd with the Reds in Europe before they got their floodlights.

Not a good result on Sunday Jack, me thinks the Real Madrid game has taken something out of them. What a semi final it will be if the reds win the replay. I dont like the semi's being at Wembley it takes the shine of getting there in the Final

United are a one man team, take Van Persie's goals away and there would be little difference in the two teams. City should have gone for a recognized stricker before the season started.. Good to know that there at least two United supporters living in Manchester, take away those from London, Ireland,West Yorkshire and Scotland, and that xxxx hole would be empty. I don't like football, but of all the teams I dislike that garbage from the otherside of Manchester are are my number one. You can keep your big game tonight and shuff it where the sun don't shine.

Hey Cicero, No need to be so rude to our football-loving Manmate pals . I dont like football either but if they love their teams, they are not doing any harm to anyone. Its all good banter with City vs. United so let's keep it that way, thanks.

Hey Cicero..For someone who does not enjoy football...you are quite aware of City,s need for a striker and knowledge of United...WOW!!! Best you stick to Bunny Hunting and Skinning edible Mice

Jackaitch, you can't go anywhere in this area without hearing other peoples conversation about City, wether it be waiting in line for a bus or sitting in the barbers, that's where my knowledge of football comes from. Are you some sort of clown to think that I sit watching a stupid game like football where the managers behave like children, the players are just like children -rolling about on the floor, and most of the supporters are pot bellied beer drinkers who are probably on welfare. Nor have I skinned an edible mouse, nor it my shooting limited only to rabbits, you horrible obnoxious man.

Come on gentlemen. Let's behave like grown ups and not children. We're not in the playground now calling names. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I am here to make sure you keep it polite. I'm going to have to crack my whip with you two..........behave.

My name is John and I have a confession to make. I am a Man City fan. Nothing wrong with that you may say, but my cousin is Nobby Stiles. I Forecast that United would struggle when Fergie left. it takes time for a team to adjust to a new manager. Especially one as good as Sir Alex. However look how long it took him to settle in and start getting results. As a City fan I say give David Moyes a chance.
