All teams have a bunch of idiots in them, I was watching another lot yesterday... we can't win everything but we've had a darn good run at it over the years that's for sure.
I wonder if Dalglish will get a two match ban after swearing on camera yesterday, or is that just for Utd players like Rooney.. Rooney was wrong for swearing admitted but why she he be the only one to be penalised for it.

Lin he was penalised because of who he is ..........ROONEY...........once the media get their teeth into somebody they don't let go, they pick up on anything that they do......and as far as REDS NOT saying anything against any of their players regardless, that is just nonsense...........Reds fans on here have NOT condoned what he did................but he isn't on his own for doing something like that............same with any celeb the media are out to pick on the least thing that they do............IT SELLS NEWS........

Hi Jedders, I only use FB for keeping in touch and getting support from my friends in my slimming club. Dont always assume that everyone washes their dirty linen in public.....I never have and never will. I do agree though that some people on FB tell people their everymove and what they are going to do next and I think its a sad indictment of today's society. Dont these people have friends they can talk to or has it become the norm to let the world know what they are up to?

Dont compare the Bartons with animals.....its an insult to animals. I have never seen an animal behaving like that. Joey Barton is just an animal, what more can be said only he should never have been given as many chances as he has

Paul Scholes was never known for his tackling skills, and hasn't improved with age. Joey Barton on the other hand is lucky he was allowed to continue playing, but has developed into a consistently good footballer. (Both statements should have been prefaced IMHO).
However t'other night I watched 'That d**ned United' which was not about THE United, but was concerned with the Leeds version and in particular Brian Clough's managerial career.
It used several film clips of Leeds doing their thing in the good old days, and the fouling and fighting was an eye-opener. This was the way a lot of British football was played in those times, and neither Scholes nor Barton could have lived with Billy Bremner and the rest of the Revie stable. How soon we forget ...

I have to agree with the above comments. My cousin is Nobby Stiles who was known for being a bit of a terrier in his footballing days. Billly Bremner, Norman (Bites yer legs Hunter), and Liverpools Tommy smith to name but a few. Most of the footballers of today wouldn't have lasted five minutes on the pitch playing against them.

Wounder if Joe & Bobby went to the same dentist ;D

Hearty congratulations to Man U on yet another premiership championship win. Particular congratulations to Sir Alex Ferguson. Without doubt, he is one of the best, if not the best, manager football has ever seen. Fingers crossed for City now at Wembley.

Do you think it has anything to do with him owning a vineyard and red blobby nose Think this is the real reason BBC match of the day don't have him on
The BBC would crawl over broken glass to have Sir Alex talk to them, but he refuses to talk to them after they alleged that one of his sons who is a football agent took "Bungs" for acting as an intermediary betwen football clubs and certain players. Fergie is regularly fined by the FA because part of the contract that they have with the BBC is that the Beeb will have access to all managers who's matches they are covering. However he refuses to back down, and pays the fine.

It was Alex Ferguson's mumbling I was referring to NOT his accent. Is it just me.....or can anyone understand a word of what Ferguson says? He mumbles his words so much that I'm left perplexed whenever he gives an interview.
